Customer marketing technology,
founded on a single principle in 2012
That an operator should never be required to choose between running a business and growing it. mKonnekt has held to that principle since 2012, when the firm was established following a single $150 engagement with one neighbourhood restaurant.

An industry left behind by the shift to digital discovery
By 2012, the smartphone had become an extension of the human hand, and social media was quietly redrawing the map of commerce. Discovery no longer took place on street corners; it took place on screens. While most industries moved to meet that change, one did not.
The reason was not indifference. Restaurateurs are among the most committed entrepreneurs in business — artisans of hospitality who invest themselves in every plate. But that commitment to the craft leaves very little capacity for the demands of a digital marketplace. It remains the case that a substantial proportion of restaurants close within their first five years, and rarely because of the food.

Fourteen years of reputation, and no visibility
Our founder, Seshu Madabushi, encountered this paradox firsthand at Underground Indian Cuisine, a restaurant that had anchored the community for 14 years. The cuisine was exceptional and the loyalty hard-earned. Its proprietor, however, was stretched across a dozen concurrent responsibilities — operations, staffing, suppliers, equipment — while the restaurant remained effectively invisible to a generation of diners searching on their phones.
A single question made the position plain: how many new guests had entered the restaurant in the preceding week? The proprietor could not say. Fourteen years of standing in one community, and no means of measuring whether anyone new had found it.
A proposal designed to be easy to accept
The offer was deliberately straightforward: mKonnekt would take responsibility for the restaurant's marketing for $150. No extended contract, no formal proposal, no procurement exercise — an honest exchange between two entrepreneurs, on the understanding that one would perfect the food and the other would ensure the market found it.
You perfect the food. We will make certain the world finds you. — The terms of the first engagement, 2012
The structure mattered as much as the price. An owner-operator working a fourteen-hour day cannot reasonably evaluate a twelve-month commitment on the strength of a presentation. Removing that barrier was the point. The proprietor has since opened a further venture in Alaska, trading as Hari Om.
Marketing that was not failing for want of effort, but fractured by design
That first engagement produced the insight on which the company was subsequently built. The restaurant's marketing was not underperforming because no one was attending to it. One vendor managed social media. A second had built the website. A third administered the loyalty programme. Each operated in isolation, none exchanged information with the others, and the proprietor was left to reconcile a puzzle assembled from pieces belonging to different boxes — alone, after service.
The industry did not require another vendor. It required an architect.

Established to dismantle the silos rather than add to them
Rather than introducing a further disconnected service into an already fragmented landscape, mKonnekt chose to address the underlying architecture of customer marketing — unifying data, customer touchpoints, technology and strategy into a single intelligent ecosystem in which every interaction informs the next. That conviction, formed in a fourteen-year-old restaurant over a $150 undertaking, continues to govern the firm's practice.
Mission
To equip operators with the technology and strategy required to build lasting customer relationships and achieve sustainable growth.
01
02
Vision
To become the platform hospitality and retail brands turn to first: one that uses data to establish genuine connections and elevate every visit.
03
Focus
To ensure every interaction, from first visit to established regular, is treated as part of one continuous, personalised relationship.
How many new guests came in last week?
If the answer is not immediately at hand, that is the position we were founded to correct. A short demonstration will show what a single connected record makes visible.
Why choose mKonnekt as your Marketing Services Provider
Learn More
A single customer record in place of disparate systems
Ordering, loyalty, review management and campaign activity draw upon the same record, which removes the weekly exercise of reconciling figures that do not agree. One view of the guest, one set of numbers, one point of reference.
Learn More
Retained ownership of the customer relationship
Direct, commission-free ordering preserves the margin and, of greater long-term consequence, the contact details, order history and visit frequency associated with each guest. A marketplace retains that audience as its own asset; a branded storefront does not.
Learn More
Delivery managed on your behalf
Implementation, integration and the continuing administration of campaigns, reviews and loyalty are undertaken by our team, with periodic reporting on outcomes. The operator's attention remains on service, where its return is greatest.
Learn More
Built from within the industry
The firm began at a restaurant table after close of service rather than in a boardroom. Each capability on the platform answers a requirement articulated by an operator before it was developed.

Growth that can be attributed
Acquisition through advocacy is governed by one framework; the offer, review or campaign responsible for a given visit can be identified, and expenditure that produces no measurable return can be discontinued.

Frequently Asked Questions(FAQs)
What does mKonnekt do?
mKonnekt unifies marketing, operations and customer growth on a single platform. Online ordering, loyalty, review management, promotions, communication and analytics operate from one shared customer record, so that a guest's ordering history, reward balance and feedback form a single view rather than sitting in separate systems.
When was mKonnekt founded, and by whom?
The company was established in 2012 by Seshu Madabushi. Its first engagement was with Underground Indian Cuisine, a neighbourhood restaurant of fourteen years' standing, for a fee of $150
Which businesses does mKonnekt serve?
Independent and multi-location restaurants, convenience and speciality retailers, wineries and tasting rooms, and direct-to-consumer brands. The company is headquartered in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, and supports clients throughout the United States.
How does mKonnekt differ from engaging separate marketing vendors?
Separate vendors produce separate data sets. A social media agency, a website developer and a loyalty provider each hold a fragment of the same customer relationship, and those fragments are rarely reconciled leaving the operator to do so, generally after service. mKonnekt is designed as the architecture across these functions. The work is still performed; it simply ceases to arrive in pieces.
What are KonnektIQ and KustomerIQ?
KonnektIQ is the operational layer, connecting the point of sale, online ordering and the wider technology stack. KustomerIQ is the growth layer, applying the resulting customer data to loyalty programmes, offers, campaigns and repeat-visit strategy.
Does mKonnekt integrate with an existing point-of-sale system?
Yes, KonnektIQ is designed to operate alongside an existing point of sale and online ordering system rather than replace it. Because configurations differ, we recommend a demonstration to confirm compatibility with a specific environment.
Is FoodKonnekt ordering genuinely commission-free?
FoodKonnekt provides direct ordering under your own brand, so orders do not carry marketplace commissions and the associated customer data remains with the business. Current pricing, which reflects location count and volume, is confirmed at the point of demonstration.
Does mKonnekt work with single-location businesses?
Yes, the company began with a single independent restaurant and continues to serve single locations alongside multi-unit brands. The platform is modular, allowing an operator to commence with ordering, loyalty or review management and connect further capabilities in stages.
A future without silos
Consolidate disconnected software and scattered customer data, and establish a single view of the complete customer journey.
